General information about the project<\/h1>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The Regional Project for the development of water and wastewater infrastructure in Cluj and S\u0103laj counties, in the period 2014-2020<\/em> aims to continue the local development strategy of the water and wastewater sector in Cluj and S\u0103laj counties in order to meet the requirements of the Environmental Acquis of the European Union by promoting investments in the field of water and wastewater.<\/p>\n

\u201eProiectul regional de dezvoltare a infrastructurii de ap\u0103 \u0219i ap\u0103 uzat\u0103 din jude\u021bele Cluj \u0219i S\u0103laj, \u00een perioada 2014-2020\u201d<\/em>, cofinan\u021bat prin Programul Opera\u021bional Infrastructur\u0103 Mare, POIM 2014-2020, nu a putut fi finalizat\n fizic \/ implementat integral p\u00e2n\u0103 la data de 31.12.2023, data limit\u0103 de eligibilitate a cheltuielilor \u00een conformitate cu prevederile Regulamentul (UE) 2013\/1303 aplicabile acestui program opera\u021bional, fiind necesar\u0103 etapizarea (fazarea)\n Proiectului, respectiv modificarea perioadei de implementare \u0219i \u00eemp\u0103r\u021birea proiectului \u00een 2 etape (faze), astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t prima etap\u0103 a fost finan\u021bat\u0103 \u00een cadrul POIM 2014-2020, iar a doua etap\u0103 este finan\u021bat\u0103 \u00een Programul Dezvoltare\n Durabil\u0103, PDD 2021-2027.<\/p>\n

The general objective <\/span>of the project is the improvement of the water and wastewater infrastructure in the two counties by expanding in localities of over 50 inhabitants the drinking water supply service, microbiologically controlled, in safety and health protection, as well as by collecting and treating water used for agglomerations of more than 2,000 lei, in order to comply with European directives for the quality of water intended for human consumption (Directive 98\/83 \/ EC) and for wastewater treatment (Directive 91\/271 \/ EEC).<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

  2. Rehabilitation of existing water supply infrastructure<\/span> (networks, tanks, pumping stations) in order to ensure operational safety, reduce losses and ensure the capacity needed to increase the connection of the population;<\/li>\n
  3. Modernization of the Gil\u0103u Water Treatment Plant and rehabilitation of the Floresti Fountain in Cluj County <\/span>in order to ensure quality drinking water<\/li>\n <\/ol>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

    2. Rehabilitation of wastewater collection infrastructure<\/span> (networks, wastewater pumping stations) in order to reduce the risk of pollution and ensure the health of the population;<\/li>\n
    3. Construction \/ Modernization \/ Extension of 4 treatment plants<\/span> of wastewater for agglomerations larger than 2,000 l.e from Cluj and S\u0103laj counties;<\/li>\n

      The project represents the fifth major financing from European funds granted to the company, their total value exceeding 600 million euros (including POIM financing).<\/span><\/p>\n

      Finan\u021barea investi\u021biei \u00een procent de 87,15% este din fonduri publice nerambursabile, din care 85% din Fondul de Coeziune al Uniunii Europene, 13% din bugetul de stat \u015fi 2% din bugete locale. Cofinan\u021barea de 12,85% este asigurat\u0103 prin credit bancar de 6% contractat de c\u0103tre Compania de Ap\u0103 Some\u0219 S.A., iar 6.85% de la bugetul de stat.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

      The most important work within the project is the execution of the Cluj-S\u0103laj water supply, probably the longest drinking water supply in Romania. The main highway will cover 164 kilometers, to which will be added 153 kilometers of secondary branches, eliminating the dependence of adjacent rural localities on local sources vulnerable to climate change.<\/p>\n
